On June 5, 2009, the EU Official Journal (OJ) published the latest negotiation standard contents of LVD directive (2006/95/EC) and EMC directive (2004/108/EC).
The negotiation standard is the technical specifications established by Europe standard organizations (CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI). It is the result of democratic negotiation. The device accords with the negotiation standard published in EU OJ, and it is recognized as according to the basic requirements in new method directive, i.e. it has the inference compliance. This inference compliance is limited to the range applied by the negotiation standards and the basic requirements covered by these negotiation standards. According to negotiation standard is a standard, repeatable and acceptable assessment method that the device accords to corresponding directive, and the most convenient and favorable method.
Therefore, we remind the electronic and electrical products manufacturers whose products are imported to EU and technical organizations to check whether your products comply with the standard and its amendments after date of cessation of presumption of conformity. If not, testing according to the new negotiation standard after date of cessation of presumption of conformity.
